## What the data is

- Source: Israeli price-transparency feeds (Cerberus and retailer portals), reloaded daily.
- Coverage: 11 chains that operate an orderable online storefront, newest feed observation 2026-10-05.
- Comparable products: 9,485 barcodes carried by four or more chains.
- Prices are online-storefront prices. Physical branch prices are not loaded, so
  no figure here is a shelf price at a named branch.
- Every price carries the date its storefront feed was last observed. Anything
  not observed for seven days is marked stale rather than quietly served as current.

## The standard basket

- 27 everyday items, 49 units, a fixed published list.
- Cheapest of the chains observed this week: מחסני השוק, ₪315.
- Dearest: וולט מרקט, ₪529.
- A chain that does not sell a line is charged the market median for it, so a
  chain cannot rank cheap by stocking less.

https://supermcp.co.il/mcp is a remote MCP server, Streamable HTTP, open with no account and no
key. Connected to ChatGPT or Claude it takes a Hebrew shopping list and an address
and returns which chain is cheapest to order from, delivery included, with
unavailable items marked rather than substituted.

## Limits worth quoting alongside the numbers

- Fresh produce is filed under chain-local item codes rather than barcodes, so
  loose fruit and vegetables cannot be compared across chains here.
- Delivery fees are quoted only where a chain publishes verifiable terms.
- Price history recording began 2026-08-16, so long-run trends are not available yet.
